Описание: Eighty-four years to the day after Netaji's Great Escape from India, which began from 38/2 Elgin Road, Calcutta (Netaji Bhawan) on the night of 16-17 January 1941, a large gathering convened in the Netaji Pavilion, Netaji Research Bureau's main auditorium. Professor Sumantra Bose, NRB's director, read riveting passages from Sisir Bose's account of the Great Escape from 38'2 Elgin Road on 16-17 January 1941. The reading was followed by the Sisir Kumar Bose Lecture 2025, delivered by Pranab Bardhan, Professor Emeritus at the University of California, Berkeley on 'Reflections on the Rightward Shift of Global Politics.'
