Word is coming out that a new show based in the High Republic (not The Acolyte) is being developed right now. It's sort of a kid-focused idea, which does not help the image of The High Republic - a series of books largely mocked for their childish stories and ideas.
The real question is this: with certain things happening in the Mandoverse which indicate the potential for decanonization of the older Kennedy-led material, are we witnessing a breakup of Star Wars fans? Is the galaxy being split into two universes? One for the two basic fans? And if so, is that a good or bad thing?
