We are a group of friends with a love a Highland music, dance, culture and musical traditions of the Carpathians. We have joined together to form JAWOROWE SKRZYPCE (Sycamore Violin).
We play traditional Highland instruments: two violins, the viola and the double bass. Strong highland voices complement these instruments. During concerts we also play traditional pastoral instruments: the Lent Pipe, the Ocarina and the Żywiec bagpipe.
Our repertoire includes regional highland music from Żywiec Beskid, Silesian Beskid and Podhale. We play a variety of Slovak, Hungarian csardass, gypsy romances, Balkan rhythms, as well as popular jazz standards and pre war Polish tangos.
We cater for occasional parties, concerts, weddings, Birthdays, Jubilees, Bonfires, Pubs, bars and hotel sessions. We also specialize in Highland Christmas Carols and Polish Christmas carols.


W naszym repertuarze usłyszą Państwo żywiołową muzykę góralską z regionów Beskidu Żywieckiego, Beskidu Śląskiego oraz z Podhala. Naszą muzykę urozmaicamy przez granie czardaszy słowackich, węgierskich, cygańskich romansów, bałkańskich rytmów, a także popularnych standardów jazzowych i przedwojennych tang polskich. W okresie świątecznym występujemy z repertuarem kolędowym grając góralskie pastorałki oraz najpiękniejsze polskie kolędy.

Jaworowe skrzypce veut dire « Les violons de l’érable sycomore ». Les musicien(ne)s du groupe sont liés par la passion du folklore et de la musique folklorique des montagnes polonaises « Tatry et Karpaty ». Pendant les concerts, ils jouent sur des instruments typiques du folklore des montagnes: le violon, la contrebasse, l’alto, l’ocarina et la cornemuse de Zywiec. La musique est renforcée par les chants typiques de la région de Beskid Zywiecki, Podhale et une invitation à la danse.

Die Musiker der Gruppe Jaworowe Skrzypce verbindet eine grosse Leidenschaft für die traditionelle Volksmusik, Tanz und Kultur aus dem Hochland der Karpaten. Auf typischen und traditionellen Instrumenten spielt die Folk-Kapelle slowakische und ungarische Csárdás, Zigeunerromanzen, Balkan-Rhythmen sowie populäre Jazz-Standards und polnische Tangos aus der Vorkriegszeit.
