The government is set to table three crucial pieces of legislation, including bills on women's reservation, delimitation, and Union Territories laws. While the opposition has expressed support for the women's quota, it is strongly opposing the delimitation bill, alleging it is politically motivated and detrimental to the interests of backward classes and southern states. The opposition is demanding that any implementation be based on a new census rather than older data.
