China's PLA Navy submarine fleet conducts combat drills in far seas

Описание: China's PLA Navy recently released footage of a joint drill between its submarine fleet and a surface combatant unit.

The participating submarine unit set four records during the mission which includes the largest span of navigation longitude and the farthest area reached by Chinese submarines.

The helmsmen have improved the accuracy of submarine's diving maneuver from a meter level to a decimeter level.

The accuracy of submarine's trim angle has been improved by 10 times.

That demands close coordination among various battle positions and integration of different combating elements.

China's submarines are most famous for the Type 094 which is ballistic missile capable.

The PLA is now developing its new submarine type, reportedly to be nuclear-powered.
