Today, I want to share with you the restoration process of a forgotten and rusty IMCO Streamline 6800 lighter.
In 1950, the Austrian company IMCO introduced this iconic lighter model, which quickly became legendary with millions sold worldwide. Unfortunately, in 2012, the original factory closed, and the rights were purchased by a Chinese company that continues to produce them today, but with a quality that no longer matches the original.
I picked it up at a flea market for just $6, and now I’m excited to breathe new life into it. I hope you enjoy the results of my restoration!
