Took the Feroza for a spin recently , first time it’s really been driven anywhere other than the shops in over 12 months, and it’s pretty much been parked since September last year 🤦♂️ never missed a beat all day, ran like clockwork. Went in search of a remote hut in the Mersey Valley. Hema GPS went flat half way there so just winged it from memory of the maps I researched during the week.
Borradaile Plain Hut
On Borradaile Plain in the Mersey Valley, between Cradle Mountain NP and the Arm River.
This is the second hut on this site and replaced the original in the 1950’s when the first was burnt by fire. The area was used by graziers and snarers for many decades.
The hut is more famous as being the location for the first meeting of the Tasmanian Mountain Cattlemen’s meet in 1988.
