Описание: This is the first episode in the new 2nd person Viking Age Northmen series. In this series YOU are Wulfgar a Svear Viking Warrior or Northman from the Bay of Malar. The Vikings were an interesting enigma in that they were farmer warriors with a nose not just for plunder but for trade. The Vikings were also amazing navigators and crossed oceans and even brought their viking shipings overland to navigate river systems.

Rurik the head chief of the Svear in the region has issued a warrior call to head east with him. The same united Slavic tribes that defeated your people have asked them to now rule over them and so Rurik and his army with you in it head East...what adventures await? To those in the south they would become known as the Varangians or Rus...of course we know them as Northmen or Viking Warriors.

The Viking age often deals with the Vikings of the western half of the equation and the famous "Lord spare us from the Fury of the Northmen!" but in the East there are different tales... Tales of the Varangian Guard, Miklagard the fabled Greek city and so much more! I have purposely held off watching season 6 of Vikings as I discovered they also go east in it. No idea where they are going but they usually mix a bit of fantasy and myth in with reality and their dates are usually all over the place. We will maintain a Strong attachment to historical accuracy. There will be no Vikings with horned helmets etc. There will be plenty of Valhalla, mythos and again historical accuracy. The video is in nd person but can also simply be enjoyed as a Viking documentary as again the emphasis is on as much historical accuracy as possible the only fictional characters are the lead and some of those with the lead...the main figures are accurate chronologically and historically.

The Intro sequence is a combination of Wardruna and text from the Havamal which if you enjoy Norse history is a must read. Also some great books below that I used as sources dealing with everything including more on the mythos of Odin/Thor etc.
