Описание: Relax with the awakening of the main depot/ Betriebshof of SWK Stadtwerke Krefeld, Germany, near Düsseldorf & Duisburg. On this November morning of 2023, the SWK first bus and tram services go into service with its 23 bus and four tram lines. Here from 4:00 a.m., the employees gradually arrive at the depot and start their work for Krefeld's local public transport. SWK transports around 100,000 people in the Krefeld region on the lines tram: 041, 042, 043, 044, bus: 051, 052, 054, 057, 058, 060, 061, 069, 076, 077, 079, 927, NE5, NE6, NE7, NE8, NE27.

Low-floor trams

In the 31 Krefeld low-floor trams of the type FOC 5.2 from Bombardier, passengers with disabilities and passengers with strollers can take advantage of many advantages:

Low entry height for easy entry and exit
52 seats and 106 standing places
two separate areas for wheelchairs, strollers and bicycles
six specially marked seats for passengers with reduced mobility
Buttons to open the doors with an acoustic signal for visually impaired passengers
special button for opening the door (blue stroller button)
when button is pressed: door remains open; only drivers can close it manually
without pressing a button: door closes automatically after five seconds

SWK low-floor buses

In addition, the SWK vehicle fleet includes around 80 low-floor buses that operate in the Krefeld urban area. They also have wheelchair ramps and blue stroller buttons (on buses built after 2010). Before the doors close, an acoustic signal sounds - as in modern trams.
