This session explored how research on women's resilience during COVID-19 was transformed into accessible, culturally relevant formats through community co-design. The Chamas for Change team partnered with local groups in Trans-Nzoia County, Kenya, to reimagine academic findings as family storybooks, children’s counting books, community theater performances, and youth-focused social media content.
Speakers shared how collaboration with Moi University students, community advisory boards, and design labs led to a sustainable model for knowledge sharing that honored local traditions. Hands-on collaboration in printmaking, illustration, and digital media helped bring research to life while fostering local capacity. The session also highlighted how digital strategies are making sexual, reproductive, and maternal health information more accessible to wider audiences.
