2023 MG Hector Plus Facelift Launching Mext month | Might get Strong Hybrid Engine With 22KM Mileage

While the launch of the all-new Hector in January 2023 has already been confirmed by MG, there was no news on a relative update for its three-row counterpart, the Hector Plus. Now, a fresh set of pictures of new MG Hector Plus has surfaced online. This indicates that the launch is not very far away from now.

While the exterior is heavily camouflaged, we can safely expect a revised grille which will be slightly different from the new monstrous-diamond pattern grille seen in the upcoming five-seater MG Hector. These changes will be enough to differentiate the both like the current models.

The alloys looks unchanged, so as the other design aspects on the side. But we can expect some design revisions to the rear bumper, similar to what we will get from hector facelift. The design of the tail lamps might remain the same, but higher chances of getting new LED internals.

The cabin is also seen with complete camouflage, however, design and features changes will be drawn from the 5 seater version, which includes, new three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, a larger 14-inch portrait touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument console, and the revised dashboard design with sleeker AC vents.

One of the biggest updates for Hector facelift and Hector Plus facelift will be the introduction of ADAS features. ADAS features will be similar to that of MG Astor.

The new MG Hector Plus will retain the current set of powertrains options including, a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine making 143 PS, mated to 6 speed manual or a CVT unit. This engine also gets 48 volt mild hybrid version with improved efficiency. The diesel unit is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that kicks out, 170PS and 350 Nm torque. This engine solely gets a 6-speed manual gearbox only.

MG might also offer a strong hybrid variant, which they currently offer in Indonesia. This 2 litre Atkinson cycle engine makes 123PS and the electric motor makes 174PS which is quite impressive. Gets a 1.8 kWh battery pack and 3 driving modes including, EV only mode. Offering strong hybrid in india is not sure, but considering the current trend towards EV push, this might be perfect start for the hector twins.
