Описание: UP steamer 844, with Southern Pacific heritage unit 1996 and Western Pacific heritage unit 1983 as helpers, departs Truckee, CA on their way over the ex Southern Pacific Donner Pass line. The train had stopped in Truckee to allow a heavy grain train ahead of it out of Sparks to get through the two mile Tunnel 41, known as the Big Hole. The special will stop just east of the Big Hole in order to allow the locomotives to cool before heading through the long bore.
