30 दिसंबर को वकील मृत्युंजय चौहान की शादी महिला सब इंस्पेक्टर प्रीति जादोन के साथ होने जा रही थी. अपनी होने वाली दुल्हन को सरप्राइज देने के लिए अचानक से वकील उसके घर पहुंच गया तो, मालूम हुआ कि उसकी होने वाली दुल्हन के कमरे में गैर मर्द छुपा हुआ है. यह देखकर मृत्युंजय इतना टूट गया कि उसने घर जाकर अपनी जान दे दी. यह पूरा घटनाक्रम मुरैना में घटित हुआ लेकिन वकील ने अपनी जान ग्वालियर में अपने किराए के मकान में आकर दी.

मृतक वकील मृत्युंजय की मां ने मीडिया को जानकारी देते हुए बताया की मृत्युंजय महिला सब इंस्पेक्टर प्रीति के साथ पिछले 5 साल से लाइव इन रिलेशनशिप में रह रहा था. कभी प्रीति मृत्युंजय को मिलने के लिए ग्वालियर आ जाती थी तो कभी मृत्युंजय प्रीति से मिलने के लिए मुरैना चला जाता था. मृत्युंजय ग्वालियर के आदर्शपुरम इलाके में एक मकान में किराए से रहता था, जबकि प्रीति की पोस्टिंग इन दिनों मुरैना में है. दोनों 5 साल साथ रहे तो शादी करने का भी मन बना लिया.
