Описание: India’s Armed Forces have begun giving a strong response to the Pahalgam attack.

On the morning of May 7, around 2 AM, India launched a military operation named Operation Sindoor.

India destroyed a total of 9 terrorist bases — 5 located in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and 4 inside Pakistan.

Among the main targets were the Jaish-e-Mohammad headquarters in Bahawalpur and the Lashkar-e-Taiba base in Muridke.

Jaish-e-Mohammad was responsible for the Pulwama bombing, and Lashkar-e-Taiba for the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

According to several reports, over 70 terrorists were killed in this strike.

However, India specifically targeted only terrorist bases — places where there is concrete proof that attacks against India were being planned.

No Pakistani military base was attacked.

The Indian government has described this operation as a well-calculated move to avoid triggering an all-out war.

It was clearly a counter-attack in response to the Pahalgam incident.

Ajit Doval immediately shared the details of the strike with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

However, following the strike, Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement at night and opened fire at the LoC, killing 3 Indian civilians.

Pakistan also declared that the strike was an act of war.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued a warning, saying that Pakistan will respond at the right time, and called for a high-level security meeting.
