Decided to make a practice video on DST's latest boss fight from the update Hostile Takeover, a very tedious one at that, this one is noooo joke, although Wigfrid does make it easier with her commander's helm!
The first phase is admittedly just a carbon copy of Celestial Champion's first phase with planar entity protection and damage slapped onto it. But the second phase really picks up the difficulty, could be even more so depending on whether you chose to have warblers or terramites in the fight, of course the only one currently available as an item after the fight are terramites, and if you want them, you may as well try to find a way to defeat this boss with terramites, I chose warblers for the sake of making this easier for myself. I also did try to use a funny beefalo corpse glitch with this phase, but it didn't seem to do much either way, the idea was to have the missiles target them instead of me, lol. And the final phase really kicks up the difficulty to a notch, and it's simply because of the pressure the scion gives you when it starts infecting the floor, which really urges you to defeat it as soon as possible, not to mention there are two ways the fight can pretty much be over. You either lose all the legs from the infection or the entire arena gets infected, either one will end your run. After defeating the scion, you get to watch an interaction between it and Wagstaff, who knows where Wagstaff has been taken to, I sure don't, maybe history repeats itself like it did with Maxwell?
One thing is for sure is that Wagstaff will no longer appear in any event he was present in before, such as the moonstorm events, celestial champion's defeat, mutated bosses, etc. And as for the reward for defeating the scion, you get celestial jewels that you can insert in your enlightened crown, it's pretty much just an upgraded version of it but it provides infinite artificial lunacy, which acts like a reverse bone helm of sorts. It's pretty much how I imagined the enlightened crown would work, it can be pretty useful on characters that need to bypass any sanity situations without dealing with shadow creatures and spawn as many gestalts as you want dealing a whopping 51 damage, but at the same time it also brings in its own new entity that being the inimical gestalt. It's an okay addition, but can definitely be annoying if you accidentally hurt it or aggro it, I imagine they hurt as much if not even more the greater gestalts, so be careful when using the new crown.
