Join me on a peaceful yet emotional motorcycle ride from Naina Tikker (Himachal Pradesh) to Chail via Kumarhatti, Solan and Kandaghat.
I’m riding my Triumph Speed T4, while my friend Bhupinder Chauhan leads the way on his Honda 350 Classic.
The journey begins with beautiful pine forests, smooth roads and breathtaking Himalayan views.
But as we reach Kumarhatti, the scenery changes—hills brutally cut for high-rise hotels and apartments in an earthquake-prone region.
This sight is heartbreaking and raises serious questions about unsystematic construction in Himachal.
From there, the ride continues towards Solan–Shimla highway and then to Kandaghat, where the route to Chail (25 km) begins.
The road becomes narrow, steep and full of blind bends and curves, demanding careful riding.
We pass Sadhupul and finally climb the steep ascent towards Chail, enjoying the stunning off-season silence and nature’s beauty.
