A 20.0-kg mass is suspended by a thin rope, as shown. The other end of the rope has a small joint that is also attached to two separate ropes, each oriented at an angle of θ = 32.0˚. Each of the upper ropes are wrapped around a frictionless pulley and attached firmly, at the other end, to a vertical wall. (a) Calculate the vertical component of the tension force exerted on the mass by rope 2. (b) Determine the magnitude of the force exerted on the rightmost wall by rope 2.
NOTE: AT 2:35, I WRITE DOWN THE RATIO FOR TENSION FORCE IN THE X DIRECTION INVERTEDLY. IT SHOULD BE THE Y-COMPONENT OF TENSION DIVIDED BY TAN[THETA].
