My Sim LIKES Getting STRUCK BY LIGHTNING! 😱 Learning Sims 4 (309,758 challenge) Episode 3

Описание: I got a new mic because my old one was picking up too much background noise and it seems to make my voice sound worse but I guess that's the trade off even though the new one was double the price of my old one ^^'


Learning Sims 4 (309,758 challenge) is a let's play series of the Vanhorn family consisting of Nora (violinist mom), Lyric (violin hater mom), Esmeralda (Lyric's daughter who everyone rejects), Wyatt (Nora's erratic son aka Esmeralda's half brother), and Federico (lineage boy, Esmeralda's brother). All three children play violin which distresses their mom Lyric gravely (she hates it). Their goal is to move into a wonderful home by reaching 309,758 simoleons! (the cost of this property)

I made the Vanhorn household a long time ago and the last time I played Sims was also a long time ago so I didn’t remember anything about them xD I don’t even think the first Vanhorns were mine, I probably downloaded them from the gallery o.o

The packs I have are City Living, Cottage Living, Tiny Living, Nifty Knitting, and Seasons.




My Sims origin story:

My Sims journey began when I played Sims Freeplay on my phone back in the day. Later, I paid $5 for Sims 4, in which I spent a whole day creating 2 characters and was too exhausted to play the actual game. Until 2 years later. I successfully created 8 sims and moved them into Newcrest, but NOTHING EXISTED? It turns out that world is brand “new” on purpose, and at that point, EA had already removed the tutorial from the game, so I could not learn how to play. I half-built my house in the middle of nowhere. I say half-built because it was very unfinished and unfurnished. I got so tired of building I couldn’t even paint the walls. There were a couple cute couples in the house though :3 my favorite being the criminal husband and the federal wife. As my sims were nearing their end of adulthood I thought it was time to continue the lineage but NO! There can only be 8 sims in the household! So I frantically moved a sim (woman) out and quickly found a random guy to become pregnant with but GUESS WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CHILD? After a few days I looked back at the map and THERE WAS SOMEBODY ELSE LIVING IN THAT HOUSE. Some RANDOM GUY! WHERE WAS MY CHILD AND SINGLE MOTHER?? I desperately tried to evict him by killing him. It turns out the mother died of old age when the child was still young, so she got taken away by social services! I NEEDED that child, that was my one child to continue my lineage! But there was still hope; my favorite couple back at the old house had a wonderful daughter who’s character design I truly loved. But she moved out into the wrong house (as a teen) and I meant to split the household (I didn’t know how) and I accidentally DELETED her and I thought she would be saved somewhere but it turns out Sims doesn’t automatically save (to the gallery) sims that were born in the world, just sims that you create in create-a-sim. I was traumatized but still tried to continue with the other sims from time to time until I got a new computer and I thought my progress was saved to my EA account but it turns out that’s not how that works. I would’ve had to copy the save files out of my old laptop instead.

Then I started my YouTube channel because I thought it would be fun to share gameplay :)

I understand the unfortunate timing of a new sims channel. I vaguely heard that EA was being sold to another company, but didn’t know specific details at the time of recording and editing. I now know a bit more context. I did not buy any new packs for this channel, I am not interested in the recent packs, and I only buy about one DLC per year. The packs I have are old so most people probably have them already. I will not buy any more for a long time and simply post funny let’s plays of the game I like.
