One of the most horrendous things in Anne's story is, for me, the waiting for her execution and the postponements. Originally, the date for execution was set for 9 a.m. on May 18. Anne made herself ready, made her final confession, and waited for Kingston to lead her to the scaffold. But due to the delayed executioner, 9 a.m. passed, and she wondered—still in her prayers—why Kingston did not come. So she sent for him. He then told her that because of the delayed swordsmen, her execution was put off until noon. When noon passed, Anne was informed that her execution had been postponed one more time. Now set on the morning of the 19th May.

When you watch my video, you will recognize that the first part shows all these postponements, and the second is rather bittersweet, like a look back from Anne to her story with Henry. While Henry was betrothed to Jane Seymour the next day, I'd like to imagine Anne thinking of all the beautiful moments she had with Henry, and then, after he took everything from her, she found peace in her faith and her strong belief in a life in heaven after her death. She was desperately waiting for all her earthly suffering to end so she could find an endless life in peace.
