The Provoking Spirit & How to Resist it!

Описание: In the days we are living in, there is an increase in the provoking spirit. The provoking spirit aims to cause division. It’s goal is to stir up purposely others into anger. Its whole agenda is to push the buttons of anyone who doesn’t agree with them. It does not care about unity but rather seeks to ruffle feathers and further a divide.

We must be careful not to fall trap to this spirit. The Word says in James 4:7 to humble ourselves before God. Resist the devil and he will flee.
You don’t have to respond to every invitation to an argument. Don’t take the bait and fall victim to this spirit. It will only produce more strife. Instead, keep your peace on. Let love guard your heart. Exodus 14:14 says, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” And Psalm 37:27 says, “Turn from evil and do good, and you will live in the land forever.”

My challenge to you (myself included) in such a heated time in our nation, before you speak or post something on social media, do a heart check. Ask yourself what is your motive? Is it to stir the pot or is it to encourage and build up? It it to further a divide or is it to stir up goodness. Do you give out hope or hate? Only you can truly answer this.

I pray we can truly be ambassadors of love and reconciliation in this time.
