This Cairo Neighbourhood Recycles 14,000 Tons of Trash Per Day

Описание: Manshiyat Naser, a neighbourhood in Cairo also known as The City of Recycling. Together, the residents here handles 14,000 tons of trash every single day. They collect, sort, recycle and sell the materials to make a living for their families and neighbours. The garbage comes from all over Cairo, and without them, the city wouldn’t stand a chance. 85% of the collected garbage is recycled, which makes this one of the most effective recycling facilities in the world. In this video I'm meeting up with a local to understand how it all works, and what it's like living there.
