Exemption of High Care Hospitals from rolling blackouts on the cards

Описание: The Minister of Health Joe Phaahla says his department wants all high-care hospitals to get power directly from Eskom to be exempted from rolling blackouts by June.

He was among the speakers at the Ministerial State of Disaster media briefing in Pretoria. He says 213 high care health facilities have been identified, 46 of which are receiving power directly from Eskom.

The South African Weather Service says while it is monitoring developments, it urges communities to be on high alert, and to take heed of warnings by their provincial and municipal disaster management units.
