Batangas Rep. Gerville Luistro said Friday (February 20) Vice President Sara Duterte’s plan to run for president in 2028 will not affect the impeachment proceedings against her, stressing that lawmakers are bound by constitutional duty rather than politics.
She assured the public that the House justice committee will apply the same standards and procedures used in past impeachment cases, regardless of Duterte’s political ambitions.
