Determined to rebuild his family and restore their former glory, CJ works closely with his brother Sweet and other loyal members of the gang. They fight against rival gangs, such as the Ballas and Vagos, and work to reclaim their turf. During this time, CJ undertakes various missions that range from gang wars to fighting corrupt cops, specifically targeting Officer Frank Tenpenny, who is heavily involved in the corruption plaguing the city.

CJ's journey takes him across the state of San Andreas, including the cities of San Fierro and Las Venturas. In San Fierro, he dismantles a drug syndicate and strengthens his criminal operations. In Las Venturas, he enters the casino business and deals with the mafia, further expanding his influence and resources.

As CJ's power grows, he discovers that his close friends Ryder and Big Smoke have betrayed him and were complicit in his mother's death. This revelation fuels CJ's quest for revenge. He eventually confronts and kills Ryder and Big Smoke, reclaiming control over Los Santos.
