PSALM 84

1. How amiable are thy tabernacles, O | Lord of | Hosts!
My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord;*
My heart and my flesh crieth | out~ for the | living | God.

2. Yea the sparrow hath found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself,
where she may | lay her | young,
even thine altars, O Lord of hosts,
my | king | and my | God.

3. Blessed are they that | dwell in thy | House!
they | ever will be |praising | thee.

4. Blessed is the man whose | strength is in | thee;
in whose | heart | are thy | ways.

5. Who passing though the desolate valley will make it a | well of springs,*
the rain also | filleth it with | pools of | water.

6. They go from | strength to | strength,
And the God of gods will re-| veal him- | self in | Zion.

7. O Lord God of hosts, | hear my prayer:
| hearken, O | God of | Jacob.

8. O | God our | shield,
look upon the | face of | thine A- | nointed.

9. For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand.
I had rather be a doorkeeper in the | house | of my | God,
than to | dwell in the | tents of | wicked | ness.

10. For the Lord God is a | sun and | shield:
| the Lord will give | grace and | glory:

11. No good thing will | he with- | hold
from | them that | walk | up- | rightly

12. O | Lord of | hosts,
blessed is he that | trusteth | in thee.
