In this same year Erin received the overall best woodwind player at the prestigious music competition The Queens Cup and also received the top performing musician at the 2005 Perth Jazz Festival. Since then Erin has taken out many solo awards at various music events. Erin achieved dux of music in both year 11 and 12 and was awarded the overall bandsman ship award through showing leadership, musicality and respect for peers and teachers in 2007. Since high school Erin has completed a Bachelor of Music (Classical Performance) degree at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), under the guidance of Dr. Matthew Styles. Throughout her bachelor degree Erin received many awards and scholarships. Most notable of these were receiving honouree recognition for her studies by the Executive Dean of Education and Arts, Edith Cowan University in 2009, winning the Barbara MacLeod scholarship awarded to the top performing female student at WAAPA in 2011, and becoming a member of the Golden Key international society, exclusively for high achieving students.
