Farmers impacted by Tropical Storm Bret earlier this year will benefit from a 2.4 million dollar grant from the government, to help them get back on their feet. Approximately 75% or 15,000 acres of banana and plantain crops were destroyed by the June 22nd storm.
In addition four thousand bags of fertilizer will be distributed among affected farmers.
