The second part of my video on the Four Lighting Passes I use in the Source Filmmaker.
Aesthetic lighting is the least impactful of the four passes, but it is the most time-demanding, and it is the special ingredient that can elevate passable lighting to beautiful lighting.
Without aesthetic lighting, you have (ideally) lifelike lighting. With aesthetic lighting, you (hopefully) have cinematic lighting. It is the difference between photography and cinematography. And we're in the art of cinema, are we not?
