In the hijab controversy at Palluruthy in Ernakulam, Minister V. Sivankutty told News18 that if the student insists, she should be allowed to wear a headscarf that matches the school uniform. The minister added that if neither the student nor the parents have any objection, the controversy should be brought to an end. He also clarified that the government is not being stubborn and has not taken any harsh action in the matter.
