This Brightline construction update looks at the unloading of a rail train in Vero Beach. The train, Florida East Coast Railway train AFW1, was delivering strands of 1600ft long pieces of rail that will eventually become the second mainline through this area. Following that, I get the train heading back north across the Sebastian River bridge. I also dig into my archives with video from another rail train from earlier in 2022 that I never published.
All of this construction is being done as part of Brightline's phase 2 expansion to bring passenger rail service to central Florida.
