She also busts some Hardanger fabric myths. Traditionally, Hardanger was worked on very fine counts of linen, NOT 22 count Hardanger fabric!
Yvette Stanton is an Australian embroidery designer and author of step-by-step embroidery books. She has a particular love for historical forms of whitework, and some people like to call her The Whitework Queen.
