Most adventure riders pick tires for the road miles, not the rough miles — and that’s the problem. In this video, I break down why you should be running a more aggressive tire than you think, using the Motoz Tractionator Adventure as a real-world example.
If your 100-mile ride includes 10 miles of dirt, those 10 miles are what matter. The right tire gets you through the hard stuff — the mud, gravel, sand, and washouts — not just to it. Street-biased ADV tires might feel smoother on pavement, but when things get sketchy, aggressive tread can be the difference between control and chaos.
I share my experience with the Motoz Tractionator Adventure, how it performs both on and off-road, and why I believe riders should set up for their worst terrain, not their best.
