Witchfire is a dark fantasy roguelite FPS by The Astronauts.

Think:
Doom-style gunplay
Soulslike difficulty
Extraction roguelite structure

🎯 Core Gameplay Loop

1. Choose a loadout (guns, spells, relics)
2. Enter a semi-open map
3. Eliminate enemies, collect resources, complete objectives
4. Extract safely — or lose most loot if you die
5. Upgrade gear and stats back at the Hermitorium

Risk vs reward is constant!

🔫 Combat

Fast, aggressive FPS combat
Weapons feel punchy (rifles, shotguns, revolvers, magic guns)
Magic spells are used alongside guns
Dodging, positioning, and resource management matter a lot
Enemies hit hard and punish mistakes.

🧙 Progression

Unlock new weapons, spells, rings, relics and upgrade them
Increase player stats through Ascension
Increase world difficulty by upgrading Gnosis (knowledge level)

Semi-open levels (not fully procedural)

Maps evolve as your Gnosis increases
