Описание: "Graphing and Trend Prediction in Nagios" This presentation will cover performance data and processing into RRD db, manipulating RRDs, controlling RRD creation with custom template configs, custom template design and processing, trend analysis, and alerting on data in RRDs.

Been in computing since the late 70s starting in high school on the PDP-11 running RSTS/E. In the 80s, besides being exposed to exotic languages such as SNOBOL and LISP, I worked programming Informix and extending systems using C on the Altos Xenix platform. After a few years of designing business system I moved to NYC and started working with some of the pioneers of computer graphics and 3D animation. In the early 90s I moved from being a systems integration for 3D and Video Production equipment to being the IT Director for Video Corporation of America. In the last twenty keys I have been key in implementing and maintaining VCA's infrastructure including E-Mail, ERP, CRM, Web Presense, and Monitoring. Twenty years ago I started running Big Brother and extended it about as far as it could go implementing graphing and trending using mrtg and rrdtool. About 6 years ago with BB getting long in the tooth I switched to Nagios core and ran Core for several years using PNP4Nagios for trending and graphing. A few years back I decided to make the move to XI.
