Let's get started! The Dell Precision T3630 workstation can be utilized for a number of different applications. Great for gaming or everyday desktop internet browsing. The 3630 is an excellent choice for those seeking a quick, reliable system. There is one processor socket. LGA1151. The 3630 workstation most notably operates on Intel E-2100 series CPUs. There is also an option for Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 series processors. The Dell T3630 gaming tower has 4 DIMM slots powered by DDR4 memory. Module capacity sizes include 4GB, 8GB, 16GB or 32GB. Speed options include 2133MHz, 2400MHz or 2666MHz. There are two memory types accepted. First option is Non-ECC Unbuffered, which is a standard desktop module. Second option is ECC Unbuffered, which is a Server UDIMM. Both are great choices. Cloud Ninjas recommends ECC UDIMMs ahead of Non-ECC UDIMMs. ECC = Error Correction Code. This is a nice feature. If you want to max out your configuration, then it is the same for either type of RAM. You can officially max out at 128GB via 4 x 32GB DDR4 2666MHz ECC Unbuffered Server Memory. This is an improvement over the Dell Precision T3620 which only tops out at 64GB. Double the capacity. We would also like to note that ECC Registered (RDIMMs) or ECC Load Reduced (LRDIMMs) memory is not supported by the Dell Precision T3630 workstation.
