An employee is injured and a suspect is dead following a shooting at the Orrville power plant Thursday, according to Mayor Matt Plybon.
In a statement posted to Facebook, Plybon said law enforcement "immediately secured the scene" and stressed that "there is no ongoing threat to the public." He also mentioned that members of the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are at the scene with Orrville police officers, but did not clarify how the suspect died.
"We will share updates as confirmed information becomes available," Plybon wrote. "We appreciate the community’s patience as we work to gather all the facts surrounding this tragic event."
