Despite investing in China-made HQ-9B systems designed to track targets up to 200 km, Iran could not prevent missile strikes effectively.

The HQ-9B is meant to defend against fighter jets, bombers, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles, but intelligence reports suggest that modern stealth and rapid attack capabilities of Israeli and US aircraft outpaced the system.
