The United Nations says it has yet to receive official notification of Burundi's intention to withdraw from the International Criminal Court.
Wednesday Burundi's lower house voted overwhelmingly to withdraw from the ICC, a move that was then approved by the Senate, and now awaits the President's signature.
The move comes days after the East African Nation banned three UN human rights investigators, among them a South African, from entering the country following a report citing various serious violations by government officials against their opponents
