Johann Schaas is the last member of the Saxon community in Richis, a small village in Romania. He keeps the key to the evangelic church in his city. There is a tradition that only the finest man from the village can be the key-holder.
The Saxons were invited to Transylvania in the 12th century by a Hungarian king. For over 800 years they managed to create a strong and organized community. They lived in peace with Romanians, Hungarians and Roma people. Until everything changed...
