Описание: Laryngeal Tilt is doing the rounds as a bit of a buzz phrase amongst vocal coaches. So what is it and should we obsess over it? Well it's a very scientific sounding term that describes what happens in our larynx as we sing higher. There are many different vocal paedegogies (ways of teaching) and they all ultimately describe the same thing, just in different ways. I learnt in the Bel Canto technique which has very little science in it and a lot of imagery! So what I have found that works best with my singers is practical exercises and warms ups that do the action with any imagery or fancy terms. You may like the terminology though! And that's totally cool!! So in this video I share my thoughts on the topic before getting into a juicy warm up routine that will get you singing high notes with ease!

I this video I start with quite a bit of chat (almost 10mins!) about laryngeal tilt, the terminology, the science and the why and how we can get stuck with those pesky high notes. Then we do a fabulous warm up routine that includes breathing, tongue work, sirens, arpeggios, interval slides, weird cries... All the fun stuff to get that laryngeal tilt and get you singing high!
