CABLE REPLACEMENT

To change the EDMAPLAC CABLE cable

Remove the plate support and fold the legs of your plate lifter into the transport/door passage position.

Unscrew the 5 screws on the winch protective cover and remove it.

Turn the winch handle anticlockwise to loosen the cables and make them easier to remove.
Unscrew the stop screw to release the tubes.

To make handling easier, lay EDMAPLAC CABLE on the ground.

Pull the inner tubes out of the main mast.
Unscrew the main axle of the winch.
Remove the winch from its housing (paying attention to the spacer).
Push on the cable to be replaced to pull it out through the large opening on the hub.
Unscrew the cable clamp and remove the worn cable from the winch.
Push the cables back inwards to remove the tube easily.
In the last inner tube, slightly bend the retaining clip of the cable loop to be replaced.
Remove the worn cable from the inner tube.

Then repeat the previous steps in reverse order to install the new cable.

Place the loop of the new cable on the retaining clip inside the tube.
Bend the retaining clip slightly inwards.
Feed the new cable through the two pulleys.
Then feed it through the main mast.
Replace the tubes in the main mast.
Insert the new cable into the winch hub through the small opening so that it comes out through the large opening, and screw the cable clamp onto the cable.
Then pull on the cable to feed it into the winch.
Insert the spacer.
Then replace the winch in its housing and screw the main axle back in place.
Tighten the cables by turning the winch clockwise.

Raise EDMAPLAC CABLE.

Screw the stop screw back in to lock the tubes in the main mast.

Replace the winch protective cover by screwing in the 5 screws on the cover.

Your new cable is now in place.
