This video covers 3 reasons why you would purchase the Sigma 28-45mm F1.8 lens. Firstly, it serves as a replacement for the 18-35mm lens and FX9, which I used a lot.. Secondly, the lens is ideal for travel shoots, potentially replacing a 24mm, 35mm, and 50mm lens, allowing for a more streamlined lens selection process, complemented by an additional telephoto or prime lens. Thirdly, the 28-45mm lens is presented as a great option for gimbal use, especially in dynamic scenes where frequent lens swaps between 12mm, 20mm, and 75mm lenses might be necessary. I also address the common concern about the limited focal range (28-45mm), arguing that it aligns with my typical usage between 24mm and 50mm. The F1.8 aperture is highlighted as a significant advantage, beneficial in low light conditions and for achieving desired depth of field in A-cam and B-cam setups, surpassing the capabilities of standard 24-70mm F2.8 zoom lenses. A minor con is noted regarding the convex custom buttons on the lens, which require more force to hold compared to the concave buttons on Sony G Master lenses.
