Описание: Journey from Dirang to Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh via Sela Pass & Sela Lake.
Today, we started early morning fro Dirang as we had to reach Tawang before the sunset. The journey was of 6-7 hours. We made our first stop at the famous Dirang Monastery also known as Thupsung Dhargye Ling or TDL monastery. Built in the year 2017, this is a new monastery but everything is new and offbeat in Dirang Village in Arunachal Pradesh :). After the monastery, we crossed a market called Padma to reach Sela Pass.

Sela Pass is a high mountain pass located on the border between West Kameng and Tawang district in Arunachal. It is also said to be the 2nd highest motorable road in India. This pass is of high importance to our country as it connects Tawang to the rest of the country. Although, this pass is covered under the snow most of the time of the year, I didn't find snow here (petty sad :( ). There is a lake near the pass called Sela Lake. It is a holy lake for buddhist people as they believe Sela Lake is one of the 101 sacred lakes surrounding the area.

We also visited the famous JaswantGarh War Memorial and saw the traces of 1962 India-China War here. In the end, we visited a Girl's School to do some charity work and finally, entered Tawang. Overall, it was a great day and I felt extremely happy upon entering Tawang - the place of my dream.Don't forget to LIKE, COMMENT, SHARE & SUBSCRIBE!!
