The South Australian government has taken the unprecedented step of releasing the costings of its election promises five days ahead of the state election.
Sky News Australia reporter Joel Philp said the announcement came early due to the pandemic, as “people are going to pre-polling and voting early, so they wanted the public to have a broader understanding about their party's commitments.
"They are calling on the opposition to do the same.”
The costings were announced to be $288 million worth of new campaign commitments and budget updates totalling $988 million worth of election commitments.
