Описание: Many times when we are going through challenges, struggles and pain in our work, relationships and happiness.

We find many people are so focused on the pain or suffering and do not see beyond it. They are not seeing any light after darkness, they do not see any ease after hardship.

We are reminded time and time again, this life has its purpose and the purpose is not comfort or perfection. This life comes with darkness. At the same time, Allah ﷻ has given all we need to overcome every struggle and of every type.

When we reflect deeply on our purpose, the reason we exist, why we struggle and focus on the hereafter, we see how the Prophet ﷺ reminded us about the nature of this life in comparison to the next life.

This life is fleeting, so any suffering and challenges will come to pass. So when we focus on our purpose and realize this life is like a resting area, a temporary place to use as a stepping place for something greater, something lasting.

It is not worth giving up an eternity of happiness for a few moments of heedlessness. Rather, the believer constantly renews their intention and rejuvenates their spiritual purification to be ready for which is greater and lasting with Allah ﷻ.

The Prophet ﷺ compared this life to the next life as:

مَا مَثَلُ الدُّنْيَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ إِلَّا مَثَلُ مَا يَجْعَلُ أَحَدُكُمْ إِصْبَعَهُ
فِي الْيَمِّ فَلْيَنْظُرْ بِمَ يَرْجِعُ
“What is the example of this worldly life in comparison to the Hereafter other than one of you dipping his finger in the sea? Let him see what he brings forth.” (Sahih Muslim)

When you do this, at most you have a drop or two in your hands in comparison to the ocean. So would it make sense to give up an ocean of happiness for a drop or two of heedlessness and despair? Would it make sense to give up a kingdom of happiness, for a few crumbs of this world?

We ask Allah ﷻ to make us of those who focus on the hereafter, balancing their life in pursuing that which is greater.
