learning with life experts: kite-making... :التعلم مع حريفة الحياة: عمل الطائرات الورقية

Описание: In early spring of 2013, we were invited to engage with several youth from the village of Gerendal in Tafila. They believed we could help them learn English, as it was one of the primary reasons behind youth failure in national examinations. The idea that are youth are being prevented from access to Learning with a spirit of humility brought us to understand that there is a large measure of dishonesty in the typical teacher/student relationship. When asked by concerned community members in Gerendal Village to assist in developing a summer program for local students to improve their math and English, as a means to combat tawjihi failure, we faced an interesting internal conflict… how do we teach for a failed system? Together settling on a common ground of learning together how to learn.

في صيف عام ٢٠١٣ بدأنا بالعمل مع آهالي قرية غرندل في لواء بصيرا في محافظة الطفيلة على تنظيم مخيم صيفي لمشاركة التعلم مع مجموعة من شباب القرية وتغميس. بدأ العمل بطلب من بعض من أهالي القرية لتحسين مهارات الشباب باللغة الإنجليزية، حيث يصل بعض الطلبة مرحلة التوجيهي ولا ينجحون بسبب ضعفهم بمادة الإنجليزي. لم يكن هدفنا هو تعليمهم الإنجليزي داخل أسوار غرفة دراسية ولكن فكرة ان اليافعين محرومون من الحصول على التعليم بطريقة تحترم بيئتهم وتقدر اختلافهم جعلتنا ندرك بان هناك قدراً كبيراً بعدم الثقة بالعلاقة النمطية بين الطالب والأستاذ.

عندما طُلب منا هذا الطلب للتغلب على الرسوب بالتوجيهي، وجدنا أنفسنا بحيّرة وصراعاً داخلياً، كيف نعلم لنظام فاشل؟ وضعنا أعرافنا معاً … نتعلم سوا كيف نتعلم.
