I was inspired by @TheBackPickup and his 5 Drives video. I took his approach and used my own backing track. The amp is an Epiphone Valve Jr and a Vintage 30 in a Blues Jr cabinet, mic'd with a Behringer 57 clone. I tracked the audio in Logic (speaking portion in QuickTime). There is some EQ to fit the track, but not so much that it takes away the character of each overdrive.

I used a little tape delay in post from the UAD Galaxy plugin and some plate reverb from Logic's stock Space Designer, both on a mix bus.
