I decided to by the 1998 Barbie dance with me talking boombox and record it. this one is an extremely low pitch variation, which probably explains why the music is a whole step down. I've got to say, my favorite songs are the country songs. this has hip hop, rock, dance, party, and country. and as you can tell from the music itself, this is straight up PCM samples. pretty fantastic for a toy from the late '90s.
I really want to get the other versions. there is one from 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2002. I want to get the 2002 version, especially for the Latin music. that is, if I can find one on eBay.
