This is Somkhit's story:
Somkhit contracted poliomyelitis at an early age. He has extensive muscle loss and weakness in his lower limb. Since the age of 5, he had multiple cuff top KAFOs.
Somkhit was fitted with metal KAFO in 2012.
In December 2018, Somkhit was fitted with an e-mag carbon fibre KAFO (Knee Ankle Foot Orthoses). In conjunction with extensive physiotherapy and an interim trial. Somkhit was able to achieve his goals without the use of gait aids.
