Royal commentator and biographer Angela Levin says Meghan Markle thought royal life was a way of “making money and getting help in a peculiar way”.
Ms Levin’s remarks come after Lady Anne Glenconner – a close friend of the late Queen Elizabeth II – revealed that the Duchess of Sussex thought royal life would be like being a film star.
Ms Levin doesn’t believe the claims, saying Meghan Markle thought the Royal Family was like a “company, like an office”.
“Harry - who I spent a lot of time with, as you know – told me that he spent a lot of time telling her what she should do, what was important, what wasn’t so important, how her life would be,” Ms Levin told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“She didn’t think of it as a fairy princess – she thought of it as a way of making money and getting help in a peculiar way.”
